Rocamar
An old favorite, but now new! Rocamar is under new ownership and has been completely renovated;
same great views, but all new from the electric and plumbing, to the furnishings, windows, doors, and
floors. It is located in the southeast area of downtown, just blocks from swimmable beaches, and on
the edge of many restaurants and shops.
Ocean-view rooms on the ground floor look out over the malecon along the Caribbean, and have one
king or two double beds, terrace and enclosed traditional bathrooms. First and second floor rooms
have one king or two doubles, balconies, and new modern glass bathrooms. You can look out to the
ocean while you shower! Third floor rooms have one king or two doubles, balconies and enclosed
traditional bathrooms. Each floor also has king ocean-view Jacuzzi suites. Town-view rooms are
located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and have one or two double beds.
All rooms have a small fridge, safety box and fan. All of the suites include AC, and some of the
Oceanview rooms do as well. You can spend hours on the balcony watching beautiful sunrises,
relaxing in a hammock with a book and cool beverage, or napping to the sound of the surf. All rooms
on floors 1, 2, 3 (total of 9) now have AC for $10 additional per night.
While the beach is not swimmable here (rocky, rough surf), there is a nice pool surrounded by gardens
at the ocean's edge, with loungers, hammocks, and a shaded lounging area. Ask about low season
specials for Townview and ground floor Oceanview rooms.
