Balam means The house of the Jaguar in the Maya language. The jaguar was a deity for the old Mexican
cultures. This hotel is a favorite for weddings.
The 28 spacious standard rooms have one king or two queen beds, private terrace or balcony, AC,
ceiling fans, and safety boxes, and are located Oceanside or poolside.
The 3 suites have king beds, Mayan-Modern decoration, a private patio and a small pool with
hydro-massage. They are located Oceanside. These are great for special occasions such as a
honeymoon or anniversary, or for a little extra romance anytime.
The Casa has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two beds, two bathrooms,
living and dining room with a kitchen.
Enjoy breakfast in the tropical gardens, lunch at the Palapa Bar on the beach, or a sunset cocktail and
dinner on the beach. The Zazil Ha Restaurant is also available for dinner serving great Mayan, vegetarian
and fusion cuisine.
Yoga classes are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9 AM. Therapeutic massages are available.
